I couldn’t agree more…….I think it’s a disgrace, a lot of singers out there now can’t actually sing, it’s pathetic!, you never hear the likes of Shinedown, Creed or Pop Evil , all of which are top bands in the top 40, when they blatantly kick the ass of some of the dross we have to be subjected to every time the radio comes on( That’s why I stick to CD’S).

I know thats really annoying isnt it? Its rare rock is on radio 1 these days. Its all pop, dance and indie. But then again theres no really new good rock bands atm,

Yes, they hardly ever do in America either. The play Greenday and Coldplay from time to time, but pop R&B, rap, and emo seen to dominate the radio stations. I have heard Down with the Sickness by Disturbed thought once on a predominately pop station. I think they view it as "evil" or "unmoral", though they should really listen to the lyrics of music they play, then decide which one is unmoral. I never hear a metal band singing about sex, or how much they hate themselves, just saying.

From an American perspective, there seems to be no sense whatever to what shows up in the UK charts – bands that never once crack the US top 40 might have a dozen #1′s in the UK, and bands that sell out arenas in the States play clubs in the UK – I suspect that there’s a more sinister thing at work in the UK as well, as the broadcast media are for the most part owned by her Majesty’s government – ask some older people about the week the official UK charts DID NOT HAVE A #1 RECORD (hint: it was in 1978, and the top seller that week was called "God Save The Queen").

Not sure,perhaps because the majority of young listeners don't like it.The Kings of Leon had a few good songs out and they were played alot.But i doubt any hard Metal bands are as popular to the listener.
