This is a surprisingly ample Women In Prison film apparently made in Brazil in 1984. The production values are higher than you might quiz and the cinematography is surprisingly advantageous, especially in the latter section of the movie. The festivities are helped out a lot by a glorious Brazilian beauty named Suzane Carvalho.
Suzane has a junkie brother who shoots and kills a drug pusher. She tells him to cruise and she takes the rap for the destroy, thinking that they’ll give a woman a lesser sentence for the crime. She’s thrown in the slammer with a bunch of hot-blooded Brazilian beauties that always seem to be naked. She’s keep in a cell with about 7 other women. One woman is the queen bee of the cell, and she’s horny. So, the other women strip our innocent fish and then whip her with wet towels. Then our queen bee jumps on top of her to pick up a petite forced intimacy.
Her injuries from the towel whipping are attractive unpleasant, so she’s sent to the infirmary. The lesbian “head matron” wants to know who did it to her, but she won’t talk, so she and a guard remove the fish to the showers and hose her down, trying to procure her to talk. The force of the water rips her shirt start. But the fish doesn’t talk and is sent aid to the infirmary. Next, while collected in the infirmary, three guys who were associates of the drug pusher who was killed sneak into the prison and attempt to hang her, putting a noose around her neck and hoisting her into midair. The lights are flipped on and the thugs scatter and our fish is saved from being hanged, but again, she has sustained quite a bit of injuries. Things aren’t going well for this woman at all. The doctor in charge takes a special interest in the woman (who wouldn’t? ) . He finds out that it was actually her brother who committed the slay and he tries to collect the brother to confess so our fish, Angela, can be released before she’s killed. But being a worthless junkie, he won’t.

Meanwhile, after Angela has recuperated a bit, she is invited into the head matron’s office. The head matron tells her that she can protect her if she would only demonstrate her some affection, and the matron puts the moves on her. At first Angela resists, but the next thing you know, they are in a surprisingly explicit lesbian like tryst, complete with paunchy frontal nudity, French kissing, the works. Resplendent hot stuff for these sorts of movies!
Meanwhile, Angela’s brother commits suicide and leaves a tag slow confessing to the kill of the drug pusher. The prison doctor and the local authorities immediately procure a deem to imprint papers to have Angela released from prison.
But before notification gets to the prison, it’s employ time in the prison yard and an inmate tries to stab Angela in the assist, but the biggest meanest inmate, who happens to like Angela, prevents it. She then takes the knife and stabs the attacker. What happens next is something I haven’t seen in a prison yard fight before. As the guards pile into the yard and order the women to topple the knife, she beheads the attacker and flips her head toward a guard! Now there’s an all out women’s prison riot and Angela and a microscopic group of women race over a wall with guns they stole from guards that were wounded or killed in the riot. She doesn’t know that she’d be released from prison if she unbiased stuck around a bit.

Now we’re burly on into a jungle adventure. A grand group of guards and dogs are on their trails trying to collect up to them. The women can’t secure along too well, and have numerous catfights with each other. Some are attacked by killer snakes. Angela gets sick of all of the infighting and strikes out on her maintain. The guards win up to the women, but the women fight them off.
Eventually, some local guys accept the three women who have survived thus far, remove them, and tie them up. They are going to turn them over to the authorities for the reward money, but not before they try to rape the women. Fortunately for the women, Angela shows up with her gun and all of the would be rapists are killed by the women. One woman is killed in this mess, so there are three women left, including Angela, and they perform their design out of the jungle and catch a truck. They’re going to invent it across the border. But there’s a really titanic, mean guy sleeping in the befriend of the truck. He secretly lets the gas out of the gas tank, and when the trucks comes to a conclude, he bashes in the front window of the truck with a great crowbar, but one of the women blows him away. To manufacture a long myth short, they fabricate their device on foot to a church with children in it, and a ample number of guards surrounding the church. Again, the women are fighting, and one of them tries to destroy Angela, but the doctor shows up and prevents it and kills the woman. Now there’s two women left. The two women and the doctor perform their plan out a help entrance, but the guards originate fire. The one woman gets to a car and then drives the car into the group of guards, hitting a truck, which causing a sizable explosion, which kills all of the guards. Our doctor and our shapely Angela are the only ones left standing and they are now free to go off and begin a incredible novel life together.
In general, I like 70s exploitation action movies, and this is a noble one. Never a humdrum moment. The dubbing is generous. The women are generally worthy looking. There’s gobs of nudity, including chubby frontal, lesbianism, including a surprisingly explicit scene with the lesbian head “matron”, whippings, catfights on land, catfights in water, gun battles, a hosing down scene (provided by a tank that shoots water at the women during the expansive riot) a titanic riot, and of course, a beheading. Well, hell, what more do you want? Cirio H. Santiago, eat your heart out. I’ll have to rate this movie a 4, because it’s not only a favorable WIP movie, it’s also a first-rate action movie
WOMEN IN FURY is simply one of the best (if not the best) women in prison flicks I have seen. WOMEN IN FURY offers the standard fare we discover for in WIP flicks: sadism, lesbian scenes, interrogation by firehose, prison riot, run, and splendid doses of nudity. WOMEN IN FURY ups the ante by adding a trustworthy account to the mix and maintaining a well paced build-up in the first half that appropriately turns into an action movie in the second half. WOMEN IN FURY is the epic of Angela Duvall who is imprisoned for the destroy of a drug dealer. A wet towel beating and rape by her cellmates lands her in the infirmary where the prison doctor comes to gain she is innocent of the crime. While the doctor butts heads with the prison captain and investigates the circumstances of the shooting of the drug dealer, a conspiracy is at hand to demolish Angela. One of these attempts sets this movie into high gear. WOMEN IN FURY is a Brazilian movie with obedient production values only slightly marred by an occasional poor dub or cheap accomplish. WOMEN IN FURY succeeds at delivering a genuine fable, maintaining a crisp slip, and delivers a healthy amount of what is expected from a WIP flick.–Bob
