This movie literally made me plunge in fancy….with Ireland, it’s legends, it’s music and especially with a obvious leprechaun named Mickey Muldoon (Daniel Betts, a phenominal young actor.) The tale was creative while staying apt to the stale Irish tales, and Shakespear’s “Romeo and Juliet” theme was never venerable to better advantage. There were a few incongruities, and Randy Quaid and Whoopi Goldberg seemed to be cast only for their star-power. Also, while my young teenaged daughters enjoyed the whole movie, the smaller children concept that the sections encompassing the human cherish record were a bit long. But when the movie focused on the loyal “faerie chronicle” it was truly challenging for all fervent. The gargantuan majority of the acting was edifying, the musical accept was entertaining, the special effects were very well done, and the entire experience was extremely delectable. I highly recommend this movie for anyone who ever had a romantic bone in their body, ever loved a fairy memoir, or ever dreamed of Ireland.
I couldn’t beleive two of the negative reviews I saw posted, but was heartened to perceive the rest were overwhelmingly obvious. They should be. This is a handsome, tender, laughable bit of fantasy. The acting is proper, the special effects are some of the best I have ever seen, and the director shows a deft hand in presenting a advantageous script. It is a movie that lingers with you long after you examine it, and you often wish there were such a land. Well, there is, and you can visit it every time you ogle this movie. Thanks for making this type of movie and for the fantastic job you did on it. Don’t let the snobs and other nay-sayers discourage you. The mountainous majority of us loved it and want more! I’m buying the film because it is a five star work of art.
