The represent quality of these excursions is not perfect but I reflect it gives a feel for the time in which they were created. I can’t remember seeing any better represent when I first saw these in the early eighties. Benefit then you were lucky to have more than a 19 lunge color space. So if you’re not atrocious by HD/enhanced everything, these are handsome. I’m tickled to have any of Cousteau’s work available in this permanent fabricate.
The refit of Calypso in preparation for the Amazon reminds of my days as a member of “Friends of Calypso” in the Cousteau Society. One aid of that was to receive runt portion of wood taken from planks removed from the hull of Calypso. I collected have it.

What young man of those times did not win SCUBA training and not dream of signing on to crew the huge ship, I know I did. So relive those extraordinary days and have those dreams all over again.

As I write this review, one may pick a price current copy of this fine DVD from a 3rd party seller on Amazon for less than $5.00, including shipping. I accept this to be an almost criminally improper label as all of the other Jacques Cousteau DVD collections are priced mighty closer to the $40 range!
Full of the improbable and educational imagery you have reach to request from Jacques Cousteau, this location will not disappoint you and you family. Regardless of the “gossip” concerning Cousteau’s relationships mentioned in another (sinister) review here on Amazon, I feel this region is a grand investment. Anyone growing up watching Cousteau’s adventures will surely indulge in this installment about his explorations for the Mississippi, Amazon, and Danube Rivers – unprejudiced to mention some of the order on the incredible 6 disk area!
