I bought this DVD as a cramped treat for my birthday. I was unsure about what the director’s slice would do to this movie and, despite not seeing it for a while, I knew what was going to be in it.
For the most section, the Director’s Crop was a an improvement over the fresh. Art Clokey and the editor that helped him knew what to gash and how to do it without calling attention to itself. There were a few cuts that felt abrupt and, intelligent what was supposed to approach next made it positive for me what was gash. Also, a few continuity bloopers came about due to the cutting. However, these modern bloopers are not more noticable than the bloopers that were exhibit. Most importantly, this current reduce gets rid of scenes that, quite frankely, unbiased bogged the film down and were never needed. This film works without the prick scenes and is more delicious than the first slit, which I enjoyed very remarkable as well. My only immense complaint was that it cleave out No Buckle’s (the yellow Clayboy with white hair) first substantial scene and he doesn’t earn a line until the middle of the film. For the most portion, however, this film rocked (and to be glorious, most fans of Gumby are tuning in for Gumby, Goo, Pokey, and Prickle, not the unusual characters) .

If you’re reading this and sweating that you’re popular scenes were slit, never panic, because they are all included in a deleted scenes piece. Between the movie and the deleted scenes fraction, the first gash is included on the DVD. There’s an added treat, as a scene that was never a scene in the movie is included (it’s a scene with Minga and Gumba, legal before Gumby is seen cleaning the fire truck) .
The greatest special feature are the four Gumby episodes. It includes one from the 50s and three 80s ones. They’re were all savory, and two of the 80s ones included Denali the mastadon and Tilly the Chicken. Very respectable episodes.
If you’re a Gumby fan, you’ll want this DVD. I absolutly cherish this movie and this DVD is a tall tribute to Gumby. Assume it.
I almost forgot…it includes a microscopic Gumby toy. How grand better can it come by? (That was rhetorical, don’t reply that 
) .

I fair watched the Gumby movie again, and I can say that it holds up extremely well if you’re a 80′s Gumby fan.
This full-length movie tells the sage of Gumby’s attempt to originate a music video with his modern metal band ‘The Clayboys’. This probably sounds familiar since Gumby already created videos on the 80s prove with his feeble synth band ‘The Gumbys’. I guess Gumby is obsessed with MTV.
This movie introduces us to several current characters. There are ‘The Clayboys’ themselves: Fatbuckle, Thinbuckle, and Nobuckle. Then there are the band’s groupies, Tara and Ginger. And finally, there is the band’s canine mascot Lowbelly. The Blockheads gape a special secret about Lowbelly, and they devise a diagram to utilize the dog to become desirable rich. Of course, this brings them into conflict with Gumby and his many pals.
Almost all the main characters from the 80s reveal are represented in this movie, with Pokey, Prickle, and Goo playing big roles. Even the Groobee has a scene! Denali the big is the only valuable absence.
There are lots of side stories scattered throughout the movie. Several of them have a science fiction theme, with references to 2001, the Terminator, and Star Wars. There are some amusing moments as well, especially the scene with the overturned wheelbarrow. And surprisingly, there’s even be a hint of romance towards the ruin!
This movie came out on VHS benefit in 1995, and we haven’t seen any fresh Gumby adventures since (other than the short animation for the Rhino DVD menus) . Hopefully he’ll be assist with more adventures soon. But at the very least, somebody release this movie on DVD!
