The third season ended with Gil Grissom (the main character) going in for ear surgery. He had been losing his hearing for some time, his mother had went deaf, and he would too if he didn’t earn this operation. On the first episode on this place, Grissom lets his co-worker Catherine know that her cell phone is vibrating. She says, “You can hear that? You’re attend.”
